General Doblo awaitung part 90 days

Hello All, on 30th June my Fiat Doblo vans ignition tumbler jammed. Since then it has been stuck in a garage awaiting a part. Fiat can give me no forward timescale as to when the part may be deiivered and the garage cannot help also. Because my van is out of warranty (2015) I cannot get any assistance or resolution to this issue at this time. Any ideas, suggestions folks? There are no parts available in Europe.

What a dilemma

My suspicion is you just need to go 'aftermarket'
Member @koalar has posted some great barrel info over the years

My experience is that 'barrels' are pretty primitive..
It is the contactor disc on the end that is crucial

Where are you based?

Correct for the switch, third party everytime

Barrel as a temporary measure Flick some of the blades out

Should be back on the road in 5 minuites.

Same here , done that a few times in the past, mostly for door locks. This box has done some work, all legitimate I may add.

I have usually found that even if some type of release button is pressed, it still requires the key to be in a certain position for the barrel to slide out with the key still in the barrel.

@Drew123 seems to be from the extremes of the south coast (Dorset edition)
Maybe that is part of the delay in finding a resolution?
