DIY Remapping?

Seen some ECU flashers on ebay for around £120 ... just wondering if it is worth a go and if it is actually possible to remap my ECU myself without buggering it up lol

what do people think?

you can do it yourself but you'll prob kill the engine if you don't know what your doing

Honestly, I wouldnt risk it.

A friend of mine done a DIY himself and it went south very quickly overrevving, cutting out, engine fault lights. In the end he had to pay FIAT to reset it back to normal with a nuew ECU or something.

At least if ya get it done professionally done ya can go back and get it reset if all goes wrong.

most the rechipping involves telling the ecu the engine temperature is cold even when its hot to increase the fuel air ratio,not convinced this helps the life of the engine
