I just bought a new tv and a dvd player.

the DVD player is divx compatiable and i would like to take advantage of this.

I have lots of films/tv programmes saved on my computer (all legal) and would like to put them on a disc to watch on my new tv.

So what software/method do i use? or would i be better off just plugging my pc into my new tv?

You just burn the file to a disk and play it, if its already in DivX you don't need to do anything to the file.

Should do, as long as the codec is XviD / DivX.

You could use G-Spot

Or does the download come with an .nfo file - look in that?

lol thers no extra file and im at work so wont b typing in g spot lol is that actually software or just a dirty joke?

i take it you can change the codec if its wrong?

Heh, G-spot is an application that tells you a lot of information about video files - audio rates, video rate, codecs, etc.

What player do you use on your PC - that should also tell you, possibly.

Change the codec? As in re-encode - mmm, that takes time.

i use WMP (i no its lame) i have ffdshow install to play the audio properly.

but i have just started using real player
