General diesel fuel pump??????

after my marea td 100 only being on the road a single month the fuel pump has given up could anyone PLEASE help ive put a recon one on but still wont start .
i've been told that the pump needs to be programmed to the car is this true or am i doing somthing else wrong ??

What sympoms of not starting are you getting? Does it turn over? Is the recon pump working? Is there diesel getting to the injectors?

Try pressing the fuel cut off switch under the front passenger side seat. More than likely its switched on turning off the fuel pump. If it works after this, then you know your old one was still good aswell.

Not Tryed To Turn It Over Yet Just Wondered If The Pump Deffo Needs Programing Or Not If Not Ill Finish Fitting It Later In The Week And Let You Know What Happens . Thanks For The Info So Far .
