Technical Control Solenoid

Just had Diagnostics check on 2.JTD. Anti Pollution failure message and warning light on intermittently and limp mode intermittent. Advice from Fiat was possible fault with Turbo Waste Gauge or Control Solenoid (they advised to try Control Solenoid First) Anyone and idea which of the three (I'm told there are three) is the right one to replace?? Fiat don't seem too sure - surprisingly!!

I think it is the one on the left on the scuttle but to be certain follow the tube down to the behind the block where the exhaust manifold is.

personally I would guess it is a sticking egr valve, trouble is there isn't much room behind there to get to it.
