Hi just wanted to check if the 500 comes with 2 fuel filters, one at the fuel tank end and the other at the engine?

My car has 2 which is why I found it strange.

Also does the handbrake have a leather boot covering the rear end like new cars or should it be just the lever?

As far as I know I don't think any of the 500 range was fitted with fuel filters as standard.

However, most owners have since fitted one, normally at the engine end between the fuel pump and carburettor to prevent contamination from the fuel tank reaching the carburettor and causing problems with blocked jets.

I have to say I have never seen a filter fitted at the tank end.

Hand brake - no leather boot! Nothing so luxurious! Just the lever.

It is okay to run two, one before the fuel pump and one in between the pump and carb

Thanks guys will take your advice and not cover the hand brake lever with the leather boot
