Technical Choke adjustment

My recently acquired Panda 141 4x4 has manual choke. She starts on the button but with the choke out revs very high.
Is there a way to adjust the relationship between the choke and the idle (if that makes sense).

There is but I suggest leaving it well alone.

The choke is not an on /off device . As soon as engine starts ease the choke back in so the revs drop but the engine keeps running, then as the engine warms up keep gradually reducing amount of choke being used.

It's a skill and very analog

Yes I appreciate the use of a manual choke is a dark art, but mine does seem to be fearsome. Let’s see what the warmer weather brings ……..
