General Broken Door Latch/Handle

Hi there after fitting my strut brace this morning i go to shut the Passenger door and the damn thing wont shut :bang:
It seems as though something has snapped as the handle is free and has no tension and obviously the latch is not working.
So can anybody please advise me as to what the problem could be and how to fix it. :worship:

Doh i just fount the big thread on this so i just need to unmelt it for now???
Its just strange that the door handle is actually loose.
Any replies are welcome but sorry for not using the search button first Argo.

Stuart, are you sure it's not just frozen?

Very common and if it is then just tap the outer lever shut.

....but what the hell are you fitting a strut-brace in sub zero temperatures for

Yeah i have sorted it now sprayed it all up with silicon and held door shut to lock it and it all works fine.
I have had the brace for ages and have had a couple of attempts to fit it and my dad finally managed to get get the Taps to make a decent thread for the new bolts.
I tried the one that you get with the brace and they snapped LOL so we have done the job properly and it only took us about Half hour just to finish it off. :slayer:
