Tuning BMC filter

hello.
i purchaed a BMC panel filter.
and replaced the old manky (31k) standard in the m-jet.
first i hoovered out the debris in the air box and removed the restrictive up turning plastic an dhey presto,she breaths a million times better,a little more induction noise is always nice....
if i dont see any more problems in the coming months ill opt fro the remap as well.

so any one who hasnt got a BMC filter should go and buy one.

ano this is old. hoping you will still reply. is there some sort of restrictor in the air box???

The restriction is the size of the air feed pipe that comes into the air box.

Ste - what's this piece of plastic you have removed? I'm due a service shortly and i might look at replacing the standard filter.
