Hi, I tried to install my new Pioneer DEH2320UB HU with compatible Autoleads stalk adapter (PC99-X28). However I wanted the HU to be available without ignition on, so I cut the Autoleads wiring adaptor and connected the yellow wire to the red one. This works OK, when the ignition is on. While ignition off, the HU is getting nonsense commands from the stalk adapter like if one of the buttons on the steering wheel were pressed. I see one solution: To repair the wiring as it was and connect the yellow to the red before the stalk adapter, so it would be always powered too. I have just two concerns before I cut more wires: Would that even solve my problem? What is the adapters consumption? I don't want it to dry my battery. Thanks for any suggestions.
