General anyone know how to set crankshaft sensor gap

Hi,
First posting-hello all.
Just changed the fanbelt on my N reg cinquecento 899cc and cant reset the gap on the crankshaft sensor.
Engine turns over on ignition but does'nt fire as sensor orchestrates firing etc through engine management system.
Does anyone know a good way to do this?

according to haynes its 0.5 to 1.5mm tolerence.
set it with feeler blades

Or a pube if you don't have feeler gauges.
