1.6 jtdm problem

Hi guys not a fiat itself but pretty much like it , is a alfa romeo mito 1.6 jtdm 120cv , my dad have problems with egr and swapped for a new one , all nice and good for a few days and then check engine light again,
But i got this code P2084.
Any ideas of what could be?

Yes i had egr errors before this one .

What could be? Particulate filter sensor temperature that could be damaged?

The issue is quite literally in your posted picture.

The temperature sensor in the exhaust before the DPF is reading out of spec. You should be able to use MES to check what the sensor is reading it may be reading erroneously or it may be open circuit. You’ll need to investigate where to find this sensor on an Alfa Romeo Mito And then see if the wiring is damaged it it may just need replacing. While the mito uses a lot of common parts with the Punto, it is not a Fiat and there are a great number of differences between the cars
