Hi,

I am currently having a problem with a 1.6 fuel injected tempra 1995.
The heater never rises above 55 while driving. When idling in traffic, it does creep up to 90. But when motorway driving, it goes back down to 50, and the heat in the car is very poor.

I have fitted a new thermostat, checked for blockages, flushed the system, and fixed any possible leaks.

Any thing else I could check before I freeze to death. Are they noted for poor heater problems.

Thanks

Hi,

I thought of that, but I'm not losing water, none in the oil. No steam, and no overheating, and the engine runs like a dream.

Problem sorted.
I checked the new thermostat...it was faulty. Replaced it with another one.
Car is now running perfect. Engine reaches 90 in about 3-4 minutes, and maintains 88-92 approx constantly.

Me old footsies are now toasty......mmmmmmm
