Re: 1995 Fiat Tempra 1.9 TD

Stephen. I salute you. Glad people like you are prepared to put the man hours in, to preserve a car, that is getting quite rare. Well done that man.
The main things like brakes, were pretty uniform, across the Fiat/Lancia/Alfa range, so parts are plentiful still.
Iam running a mk 2 Lancia Delta, here in Spain. Lots of parts etc, used on the Mk 1 Brava/Bravo. Different rear end though. I use it as a 'Campo' car in the mountains.

Re: 1995 Fiat Tempra 1.9 TD

Hi stephen79.

Nice looking tempra. Had one a few years ago, and it was an absolute bullet.

It was the same model as yours. I have a few parts that will suit, namely good rear lights.

I'll check to see what else is there, and get back to you when I know more.

I'm based in the midlands, Tullamore in offaly. Anywhere near???

I don't want anything for the parts. Just nice to see a real classic being looked after.

Chat soon.

John.

Nice. The old TD is one splendid engine. Every time I drive another diesel I am reminded I had a look at your Tipo thread recently and as you say that 1.7 body was too far gone. Maybe you'll maybe need do some remedial protection works on this one before you start using it in anger.

Re: 1995 Fiat Tempra 1.9 TD

Thank you all for your kind words, Jonti, Murfman and sumplug. John/Murfman I am living in Portlaoise and pass Tullamore 5 days a week so if you have few parts I would be more than appreciative and won't see you stuck for a few bob! I haven't done anything to the Tempra yet as its not at my house it's stored some 60 Km away at present. Hopefully I I'll get cracking at it over the summer so in the meantime I will start the good old shopping list of parts!

Re: 1995 Fiat Tempra 1.9 TD

Hi stephen79,

That's grand. I root around the garage to see if I come across any more parts.

Then we can arrange to meet up in Tullamore.

Chat you soon.

John.
