Posts: 44 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 | 1.9D timing belt snapped Hi, I am Ryan from Malta and i just bought a 1.9D with snapped timing belt. I just opened the engine and it seems like only one valve slightly hit a piston. I cannot push the pistond down by hand but i can rotate the crack using a spanner quite easily. Should i open the bottem end? Thanks Ryan

Posts: 277 Thanks: 3 Trader Rating: 0 | Re: 1.9D timing belt snapped I've had 2 contact valve-piston incidents and my pistons have been just fine with not a mark on them. If you can turn the crank with a spanner it sounds fine. But find out why the belt broke...
