Hi all

I have a Grande punto 1.4 8v gp that standard has the dash boot button and the key fob boot button. I was in the scrap yard yesterday and picked up a punto evo boot release button that's in the badge I've noticed the wiring is very similar but no idea how to make it work has anyone ever done this before?

I would imagine you would have to run the wires from the boot switch and splice them into the wires to the dash button. The dash button works by sending a signal to the body module which then works the boot release solenoid, the tailgate wiring on Evos' uses a different method.

Thanks for this how does the evo way do it differently to the Grande?

Just that it has the release button on the tailgate rather than the dash. Wherever the button is, it sends a signal to the body control module which then releases the tailgate solenoid so rather than two wires to the switch on the dash it has an extra two wires on the tailgate harness.
