Took passenger side driveshaft off
Reassembled everything, but noted that it was in gear but both the front wheels still turning freely? The fault was here at this point on reassembly, but I don't know what to check for.... The replaced shaft was definately in place all the way in.
I have not touched the driver side shaft
Gently got into driver seat put it in gear wheels off the ground, gently raised the clutch with engine running, (stupid I know) clunk sound, turned off engine.
What is wrong?
Passenger side is dismantled again. But I can't see the point of pulling out the drive shaft again.
The gear stick appears to be operationg normally.
Symptom is it is permanently in neutral, even though gear stick moving as normal and clunking as normal from gear change mechanism.
