Has anyone ever changed and had to recode an ABS module?
Be interested to learn more. The one in question is ATE Contenintal

lol, are you with Audi or VW ? I have heard it was not easy... My bff needed to do the same, but the car was Audi. He was told that he could not re-code it if there are at the present faults/codes.
Practically, he was constantly trying to log in, put the code - but the system just would not keep the code.
Can you actually log in ?

I did find record online of the same ATE unit being recoded on a BMW.
But on a fiat I can't find anything. I have just about exhausted all avenues now.
It looks like it would need a Fiat Dealer Diagnostic machine and even then someone that was on top of their game. If you don't get the correct person it will be a massive bill and still not fixed.

As I have the problem one fitted I still have my original with just the ABS fault so may send it away and see if it can be fixed.

I have to say my old Doblo was a lot less trouble than this later one. Good car messed up with poor technology and lack of information

Remind us where the vehicle is based..
A decent Indy should be capable..

I am in Spalding Lincs . Pe126DD
I am willing to travel a little to sort this. Mot in May and it's creeping up.
I was going to go to an independent Fiat garage in Lincokn but once they understood what was needed they didn't think it could be done.
I do have the spec and SW info from both ECU.
