Purchased genuine Fiat 500 rear mud flaps from Glyn Hopkins online. The instructions I received were appalling with photographs that were useless as they were underexposed and almost black.

I worked out that the top fitting requires the removal and replacement of a screw and this presents no problem.

The bottom fitting/clip is the problem as it is impossible to see from the photograph what I am supposed to do with it. Does it unclip (couldn't budge it) or does it need to be cut off?

Any help please?

Just gone through same fitting process myself today on my 2016 500c and Fiat part no. 50901694 does not fit! I'm waiting for a reply from Fiat as to whether they've got flaps for the latest 500 models.
You're right the instructions are hopeless - 'frupi' did a very good post on the problem in Sept 2011.
