Hello fellow "Fiateers"! Been a long time since I posted here but here I go with a non-Fiat question. I know that we have some great mechanics around here and people that know their stuff when coming to cars so I hope somebody will point me into the right direction.
I have a Peugeot 406, 1.8l, petrol. A few days ago I put the AC on, idled the car a bit and stopped because i have forgotten my phone inside the house. When i got back, I turned the air blower back on, but no go. Checked fuses inside and outside cockpit, OK, checked air blower, OK(when direct supplied from the lighter with two cables, everything works, minimum to max air range, except AC switch, no go), checked an ECU that handles all off that air bussines and found no obvious fails, checked the AC compressor and it clicks on when direct supplied from battery. With all of this said, I have noticed that the two cables that are supposed to feed the air blower are dead, no power. They come from the ignition switch am I right? I think that my ignition switch is a bust because I had to wiggle the key sometimes in order to make the air blower work. So, my question is: Is my ignition switch to blame or is there any other thing that I may look for? All advice and sugestions are welcome! Thanks in advance and sorry for writing this novel... :D

If the ignition switch is not making proper contact that can cause all sorts of issues. General wear can cause this, and hanging too many keys and other stuff on it can break it more quickly.
Get the column shrouds off and check the outputs from the switch. May need a wiring diagram. It is often possible to replace just the switch, not the whole lock.

When was the aircon last regassed? They gently lose the gas, and when the pressure drops below a set level it just refuses to work.

thanks for the answer. well, regarding the gas, have no idea, i.ve had the car for 3 years now and never charged it because it had been working fine, air as cold as the siberian winter. i´ll poke the cables from the column as soon as i´ll find a diagram. until then, hope the autumn will make it´s entrance and refresh us a wee bit, we´ve been having an awfull summer down here in Spain, 38-42ºC and 28-29ºC by night.
