Sometime I have to clean the air intake hoses, and the inter-cooler from oil vapour that comes from the turbocharger, without ruining them.
So, no solvent.
I usually use lukewarm water and dishwasher soap tablets, but is a very long process.

Anybody knows a better way to do it????

Hi,
I've no idea what engine you have..,

but Diesel fuel(Gazole), and a toothbrush. is cheaper..and less aggressive ,
than solvent based Brake cleaner

as said you should only get a light coating from the recirculating gasses,;)

TBH - if you've that quantity of oil mist circulating..then your intercooler could well be half-full of condensed fluid..!! ( I've had that..)
