Hi,

I have a problem with my Fiat Coupe 1.8 16V.

Problem is that engine stops on its own(just like you would turn key to off), completely randomly. For some reason it stops feeding fuel into engine. Sometimes it can be started again and sometimes it only spins, but fuel pump is working. It doesn't ignite. Injectors light turns on when engine dies.
I have already checked ECU for errors but there are none.
I've also checked the graph of lambda sensor and it looks normal to me.

I'm completely out of ideas what could be causing this, does anyone know ?

My punto used to cut out occassionally at junctions etc. It was the Crank sensor.

Would that cut off fuel to engine or show any errors on ECU ?
Yesterday I left it running for an hour almost, to see the parameters on computer, but it didn't want to turn off engine.
Whatever it is it's electrical.

Ok, looks like it's worth to take a peek on that.
One more thing I forgot to mention is that sometimes rev counter jumps for about 4000 or so up(not engine just counter)

Well nothing showed up. After 1 hour of running in place engine did not shut down so I can only guess what's actually causing it. I'll replace cam and crankshaft sensors for a start.
