Could have been grey /black only had time to have a quick look whilst the boss was out of the workshop and autodata only abreviates the colour codes no doubt its the same colour at the ecu as the alternator , make sure you load test the wire if you suspect it's breaking down integrally
The way I do it is disconnect both ends of the cable to be tested ie unplug the plug from the ecu and disconnect the alternator earth one end make a lead with a croc clip for that then take a 477 headlight bulb put 2 wires on it connect one to the wire to be tested and the other to the battery + if the bulb lights good and bright its taking the load no problem a 55w bulb draws just under 5a which is more than any signal / sensing wire will take in normal operation
