Just bought a 2007 Grande Punto! Unfortunatly the cig lighter plug doesn't work very well, it does a bad contact with my phone charger so I just bought another one in Halfords to change.
The problem is that it does not fit the socket like the old one. The old one has 2 little plugs that fit nicely, the new one just has one metal part that fits and the perpendicular one stays outside. After plugging it in, the new one does not work. Can I still somehow use this plug with the new one or do I have to connect the wires manually (The plug from the car has 3 wires connected to it, but I have no idea which one goes where).
