Hi,

I have a strange problem with my CLS

When Both doors are closed and I turn the key in the lock the locking pins go down but they go up straight away. The same if one door isn't fully closed or open.

I Lubed the whole system and checked all connectors under the day.
Measure the two wires that switches the contacts (up/down contact in the system) but can't solve the problem.
It bounces a few time and then it dies. After that I can turn all locks down by hand and most of the time the'll stay down/locked.

Really have no clue were I can find the controller for this system.
Or were I can find this problem.

And now i'm speaking.

Since I have this car I don't have the CLS working on remote controll.
The pulled out the alarm unit under the bonnet before I bought it.
Still got the sensor and (probably) new keys for my car. They said they changed it because a lock was broken.

A few years ago I bought another alarm box (original fiat) and roof sensor
But no one know's If and how I need to reprogram this so I will work on my systeem.
I still have the old and new key codes.

Is there a possibity to get this work again?

For the first part, I think it's likely to be nothing more than a bad connection. Best I can do is ask for you to PM me your eMail address and I'll send you the section from the Seicento Technical Manual covering the door locks and stuff.

The colours of the wiring may well have changed, but my guess is that the layout is much the same.

For the rest, I just don't know. A decent auto-electrician may be able to help.

We all thought you'd blown up the engine and given up. ;) Welcome back!

Haha,

No but it's quiet. No driving that much with it and still thinking about it to sell because of that. Still need to do some body work.
Last year I mounted a new FMIC to get the job done because the other one was to big.

My idea

Only the colour is photoshop.

With foglights

Bumper isn't a straight fit. quite terrible but possible but to much other things to do.

So it still looks like this.

I allready have all chematics but for now I don't know were to find the problem.

Motors work fine and the switching contacts also look oké to me.
Cleaned all connectors in the door and the first ones that came out of the door under the dashboard.
After that the wires disapear into my dash so It's hard to check that part.

Do you know were the put the controller relais of this units or is it integrated in a part of the ECU.

I'm not sure but didn't check if the backdoor is involved in this system.
Never checked if it's possible to lock the doors with the back door open.

That motor is connected with the connector plate in the chassis. And maybe those aren't connected due oxidation or grease

Will check it tomorrow by cleaning metal the contacts.

The response it a bit slower now but it still decides to open all locks after 2 seconds. :bang:
