Installing rear rotors and pads on 78 Spider. When I read the Hanes manual it says to screw the caliper piston tather than press in. I have released the hand break but I can't get the piston to budge. Does it screw? Could it be frozen or do I have to disconnect the handbreak altogether?

You're likely to need the correct tool to screw in the pistons.

But ask in the Spider section.

Rear calipers usually screw, a pair of grips is usually all you need if you don't have the correct tool.

I'm fairly certain they don't have a halfords in missouri, USA?
