can't be bothered for us to spend the extra 7 quid on a tiny filter. changed the sump, so oil drained at moment.

i know you should do the oil and filter at the same time, got 4 litres of tesco speacial, 6.50 for two litres. (has somebody else invaded the middle east or are they just taking the ****) in tescos with there prices.

so do i REALLY need to do the filter, as leaving old one in place seems like a plan to me. not going to reuse old oil, mrs wanted me to to keep costs down, was gonna filter it back in, but having had a rusty sump, and unknown in the engine, going to use new oil.

if it was an expensive car or low mileage that would be different, but its a 100k punto 1.1??

if your paying £7 for a filter your been robbed

camberley auto 6.84 halfrauds 7.19

but i don't care, as i'm not fitting one now. in fact just sealed the hole in the OLD sump with a nut and bolt and gasket sealent.

new one had three bolt holes which wouldn't line up?? after a bit of therapy with me axe wasn't really worth fitting as the big hole the axe left behind is slighly larger than the 1mm hole in the original. anyways, bodged worse and after all, it is ONLY a fiat !! (apologies to those of you who think these are great cars) they can be cracking little cars, but not throwing bad money after good at a fiat. the bodge will probably outsee the car anyhow. :)

about 3 quid odd for a filter at my local factors

halfords are a rip off, camberley supply halfords, and mrs company have recently removed staff perks with camberley.:bang::bang:

any way with the bodge job, not gonna waste time buying or fitting one. keep old one on there with the repaired sump. sod it , it s only a small cheap , very cheap car. ebay speacial LOL :)

there are filters under a fiver with free delivery on ebay, gotta be mad not to fit one

won't use ebay for that sort of thing, never tell what quality of the part or even when your're likely to get it. my way cars on road tomorrow with or without replacement part. if i do ebay could be end next week. sod that.

the car is only a scrapper any ways. good nick, but needed welding underneath for last mot, and sump........ not looking good for it staying out of the scrap yard next mot. a hint of anything over a oner and i'll weigh it in without a second thought. nearly got set fire to today!! shame i smashed the cinqy up, insurers might of got suspicious LOL
