hey guys, i was changing my engine stabilizer on my punto mk2 (under the engine) its the dogbone bush because the origional had perished, but when taking the bolt that comes off from the subframe, it snapped inside the hole
i spent the whole day drilling it out, cooling the drill bits and drilling some more but i couldnt go through it! how long is this bolt?

how can i remove it?

can you mig a bolt onto whats left
as this will get heat into the seized thread and give you something to undo again

use a colbolt drill bit, and plenty of grease

i cant mig a bolt onto it because its snapped inside the thread
also cobalt drills? arnt they just the same as normal drills?
a mate told me i should burn it out but with fuel lines very close, i dont want to risk it!

no they cut through metal like a hot knife through butter, drill a pilot hole first

Smallest pilot hole you dare to get away with then slowly increase drill diameter.
Takes a little while but gradual diameter changes will eat the bolt far quicker than ploughing in with a huge bit.
