Will it do any harm just having the message coming up? Eg, it won't stop anythng working will it? I can live with it rather than pay that amount of cash!
I now have my car independently serviced, FIAT wanted £30 to reset the Service Due counter, so I haver driven around with it on for the last six months without any problems.

Most dealers do these cheap services (£40-70) so it can be kinda worth it considering price of parts/oil disposal etc...I suppose that it takes say 15 minutes by time car taken into workshop,examiner connected & booted up & returned so i'd say £10-15 fairer price? Could always ignore it ;-)
