You'll have to get the dealer to get a Connect Nav software disc (not the Nav+ disc), which they should be able to order from their Teseo system.

Try again from start (download, making quality CD with '96 option ...) and wait longer when is around 50%, the most important is that CD comes out. If not .... then is very expensive. :bang:
You can't make worth, only with bad CD quality! :yuck:
I have 9.8 after a lot of problems.
But, if you put version for CN+ to CN, ...... :devil: ..... who knows!

That won't work.

CN+ software is for the + unit only, as it has different display drivers, mapping routines, function settings etc.

Becuase hpt.It's unit is getting past the boot screen and then failing, it shows that it's operating system has been rewritten with something that cannot be understood by the Nav unit.

As I said, go back to FIAT, and ask them to order the Nav software from Teseo.

Worked very well for me I now have version 9.8, thankyou very much. Just a little bit of info it might help some one, if you have Nero on your PC just run the upgrade program you down loaded and it will automaticaly run nero and creat a ISO disc. You don't have to set anything up it's all done for you.

A few days ago I tried to update my connect nav+ (fiat stilo, year 2001), that had the release 5.2, to the 9.8 version!! During the process, around 10%, the connect shut down and the CD didn't eject.
I ejected the CD by a screwdriver. Now the connect is noir and it doesn't work any more...
How can I reset the system or I can find a solution?
Please help me...

Did you use a poor quality CD?

If you did, use a decent CD and read the guide on how to burn it properly, and then try again .

I think the CD was ok but the only possibly problem can be that I burned the CD with disc-at-once and not with disc-at-once/96 because it isn't it in my version of nero (7 premium). Does you think that could be this the problem?

Maybe, the first section of the process is to read the disc and ensure the program is correct, then it erases the old eeprom (this is the bit where it sticks at 50%), then it writes the new eeprom.

I have Nero 7, and can find the disk-at-once/96 option - where abouts are you looking?

Nero Burning ROM --- New Compilation - CD-Rom(ISO) - Burn tab - Writing, Write Method --> 3 options, last of which is the 96 one.

Reburn the CD properly, using the guide, and try to reflash the unit.

Hello all!!
I have resolved my problem!!
In practice there is a combination to decontrol the navigator: when you insert the upgrade disc you must press the bottons "3,4,5,6,tel" and your navigator flashes for one or two times; you must wait; if the upgrade doesn't start you must shut down the navigator, wait a few second, restart it and try again with the combination... You do so until when the upgrade start. When the upgarade start you must turn the right small wheel to the right and to the left during the whole installation and you will see that the installation ends with success!!! At the end you must change the language with setup CD, but this isn't a problem, you must follow the only procedure of the instructions.
I recommend to the admistrators of this forum to publish this solution on the page of the instructions for the upgrade 9.8!!
ATTENTION: This is a procedure that it must have done only from who has the navigator that extinguishes during the upgrade!!

But I have one question. Why in my startup screen of the CN+ it was stating 9.9? Is that correct? Is there such a version update or is some kind of hack?
I do check additional standings from "hidden" Service menu and there was a version 9.9 too.

sorted it, i changed the cd to a TDK one. plus i left it a bit longer than 30 sec and it worked.

Sat Nav UPDATE - 2008/9 CDs now available

Just as a heads-up, I have now acquired the very latest 2008/9 GB & Ireland maps from Davren He also has the whole European set as well if anybody is interested - please contact him direct for those.

I have now archived this CD, and uploaded to the server. This has also been tested, and working.

Any members who recently donated will gain access, but I reckon a fair cut-off would be a month ago [after all, I pay hosting monthly].

Please PM me for more details / access, etc. Usual rules apply, as per this thread

Best thing to do would be to get the 9.8 firmware upgrade for the CN+ system and then the latest map iso and burn it to cd. All of this is available to you once you donate... £10 is a good number for this... Not too bad when you consider the maps themselves cost £100

Stilo connect nav setup disk

Guys,

After much searching i have found a free link to download the setup CD for the stilo abarth etc. it is from a forign site but don't be put off it worked a treat in my stilo and returned the voice back to english.
It's a nero image file so will need to be burned onto a CD. I found the link whilst trawing the european fiat forum.
