No radio code and thinking of getting CD changer

Please can you help
I have just bought a 53 Stilo 1.9 JTD Mutiwagon

1 It has no keycode.
What problems will this cause and can I obtain a new one?

2 It has no code for the Radio Cassette.
What problems will this cause and can I obtain a new one?

I am thinking of getting a cd changer.

3 Is it as simple as getting the changer for the glove compt and a lead to
connect it to the main unit (remember it is only a cassette unit I have)?

4 Is the best option to go the Fiat dealership or is it worthwhile
(a lot cheaper) to go it alone?

1. no keycode won't cause any problems, no Stilos have them new you have to order them from FIAT for between £3-£15 depending on how friendly you are with your dealer when you get it FIAT can turn on hazard lights to flash when locking/unlocking through examiner and maybe some other fancy tricks but don't know what they are.

2. if you don't have the code then the unit cannot be replaced into another car without the code, but on your car the code is stored onto the ECU so if you disconnect the battery it wont ask you for the code, this was the case in my Punto anyway so I'm assuming it's the same on the Stilo, if you need a code for it then some celver people on here can help I can't remember where you get it from

3. if you want the 5cd changer (Blaupunkt IDC-A09) in the upper glovebox you need to buy the changer, glovebox liner and lead if you car doesn't have it.

4. cheaper to do yourself, isn't a hard job.

Cheers
