Hi everyone, I've decided to set up a little club for all us owners who have the Connect Nav/+ system in our cars and would like to keep up to date with the CD's without spending a fortune.

My plan is to buy the latest CD each time one is released and offer copies in return for a contribution towards the cost of the original. I am not looking to make money from this but cover the costs.

Here's what I propose, with each new person that signs up it will make the whole thing cheaper but I think it should start at £15.00 per cd copy which is a bargain considering their RRP. Naturally, if lots of people join and there is more money than the cost of the cd the £15.00 can drop. Each time a new cd comes out I'll let you know that another £15.00 is due but this won't be more than once a quarter (the current cd I have is Autumn/Winter 2003 which I think is the most recent and they seem to group two seasons together perhaps meaning there are two cds a year).

I'd also like to build up a catalgoue of the European cds but these will not be updated. As long as we have the basic detailed regional disc (as opposed to the very basic information on every cd) that should be enough for the rare occasions we venture into our neighbouring countries.

2003 3 Door Stilo 1.2 Active, Sassy Grey, 5 disc CD Changer, Abarth boot badge, plastic wheel trims - and 42.4mpg average so far. Love it, not at the moment, seeing as the car is having a strop!!

Well as my first post does say, "making a fast buck" is not my aim.

Just wondered, do you Stilo guys have the same disks that we use in the Ulysse Nav/Nav+ system? I am sure a few of us 'may' be interested!

I don't know enough about the Ulysse Nav/Nav+ system but it does sound similar to the Stilo. Maybe you could look on the cd makers website or ask Fiat?

Well, it uses the Navteq [note, new name!] disks. We have just got the Autumn/Winter 2003 version.

However, looking on their site, your version just says Connect whereas ours mentions RT3 - this is the code came for the whole Connect package! Interesting! I think I will have to make a few more enquiries.

No. The Stilo and Ulysse use different maps. as RT3 (Ulysse) uses different software to run the system to the Stilo, so therefore the maps have to be written differently.

Good idea. Fiat make more than enough off us! Shame you can't do the same for my NAVMAN sofware!

Fiat don't sell the maps - its Navtech.

And guys, if you gonna do this you need to be more discrete or Navtech will send the boys round... pirating is illegal, but making backups and then lending them to somebody for a fee is not ;)

Just has a letter from Navteq saying 2004/2005 is now available. People who have already contacted me will get copies shortly. Is there anyone else out there still on Autumn/Winter 2003 who would like the update?
