That's designed to clear the dribbles that invariably come down from the top of the screen after switching the wipers and washers off.

According to the eLEARN description, if you have Climate Control, it's supposed to close the recirculatory flap when using the windscreen washers.

Anyone care to guess why?

Umm... a long shot, but... so that you don't get the smell of washer fluid in the cabin?!

I'm guessing he means that if you lift it up gently, it raises itself by a series of clicks to a progressively higher position.
Well I be damned

Owned my Stilo for over 4 years now and only just discovered you can adjust the armrest to 3 different heights (aside from lifting it completely and using the cubbyhole inside) (y)

I know every1 know the keyfob trick with the windows but if you use it in regular way (not remote) you can open/close with the keyhole on the handle just turn the key and hold it.

Don't know if it has been mentioned yet (no it's not about the windows!) but holding your lock button on the fob for a second and then quickly releasing and pressing it again engages the deadlock function which disables the door handles from being used to open the doors (as in smash the window and pull handle to open door ... or open door using handle if driver forgot to pull up the windows) ... the function activation is indicated by a doubleflash of the indicators and a noticeable 'locking' sound in the doors ... think this only works on cars with factory alarms installed ...

if the car is locked and alarmed you can use the boot unlock button (hold 2 sec) to temporarely disable the cabin space intrusion alarm and unlock the boot without unlocking the rest of the car ... as soon as you close the boot it is automatically locked and alarm is reengaged ...

your factory car stereo will increase volume as you increase speed to compensate for rising noise in the cabin ...

cars that don't have auto AC can turn all 3 AC knobs to the right to demist windshield (not really a super-sikrit feature but not everyone reads the manual) ... also turning the recirculate feature on while it's raining will insta-mist your windows ... don't do it ...

like any half serious car the 5 door and MW versions have child-proof mechanisms in the back doors which can be activated by turning a lock which is located on the inside of the door just under the locking mechanism ... it is designed to be turned using the metal end of the key fob ... once engaged the rear doors can only be opened from the outside (hence child-proof) ...
