Will it open the Sunroof and the blind bit too if I hold the button or just the actual sunroof? That's a cool feature even if it isn't both (y)

Re: hidden features - funny button ?

Ok whlist hunting for a rain leak (reckon its the sunroof and the drain tubes are blocked.....couldn't see them at all , well its was dark ) ,....anyway inside the passanager compartment, at a simlar place to bonnet release handle on the other side there's a rubber button with push on it facing upwards.
Whats its for ? because I pushed it:eek:
I assume it might be reset for something put what ?

Did you have the front wipers on at the same time? it automatically turns the rear wiper on when you select reverse until you go back into neutral or select another gear

I knew about that but no, that wasn't what I meant.

I didn't have the front wipers on (I find that when I do, the rear wiper usually doesn't go when in reverse, because the front wipers are rain-sensing so the rear wiper only 'fires' if the front wipers are actually wiping when I select reverse.)

Now, let's say it's not raining, so the front wipers are not on, and the rear screen is covered in water after being parked. You start reversing (the rear wiper is off) and then you switch the rear wiper ON, then OFF. It continues to wipe until you select a forward gear, when it stops. This is all without turning the front wipers on! Clever, don't you think?

As for the handbrake disengaging the cruise control, yes, I was wondering if I could pull a handbrake turn at a constant speed, but no... ;)

I suspect that the handbrake also overrides the ESP braking, since it seems to do handbrake turns really well with absolutely no attempt made by the ESP to correct it.

I had my stilo for 2 months before I found that the dash above the glove box flipped up to show a cool box with int's own AC on off button to keep drinks etc cool. AC ONLY MODELS I THINK, any one else no know about this?

The upper glove box was an amazing revelation for me!

I found something else this week (after a year of ownership)... If you press the 'front screen demist' button, so that it ramps up the fan, switches on the aircon, heated rear window comes on etc. (I knew this) but - did you know that it cancels itself after about 10 minutes and everything goes back to normal... now that's clever, less buttons to have to push... :)

Do we all know that under the drivers side mats (both of them) is a little compartment for hiding keys and money etc?

Depends on relative position compared to car.

Very weak from the rear but seems to be at its best from above.

Quite impressive when in the office above the car park and you're able to shut the sky-roof

Dont know if any one remebers top gear with the key fob to the head test, its actually reaches double the distance if you put your key to your head and look at the car , try it!!!

Tried it, and yes it does (y) god knows what its does to your brain like though

The reason this works is that your skeleton acts as a larger transmission aerial. It doesn't have to be your head, hold it against any large bone mass e.g. skull, elbow, knee cap etc. It also increases your chances of opening the car if the remote control battery is almost flat.

I used the technique many times when I worked for the AA but it only works for cars with radio signal remote controls not for infra red ones.

Dont know how common it is,but I have black blinds between the rear seats and the metal parcel shelf holder, fiat dealer said he had never seen them before.
Has everyone got these and the dealer does not know his own cars.

they are not sun blinds,if I push the rear seats forward towards the front seats there are black blinds that extend from the parcel shelf to the rear seats so the extended boot is covered for security,he said never seen it before but to me its a fairly obvious design to me.

Yes; that's a completely standard feature on all 5 doors (due to sliding rear seats) and I think the MW has an even fancier design.

I like the way the wipers come on for a while after you use the washer jets but stop for a period to let the windscreen dry slightly, then wipe once more (y)
