Hi just curious to what MPH you are getting as i think mine may be a bit low but unsure.
I do mainly round the door driving with 30 mins a day on motorway driving at around 70-80mph

MPG 34.2 (took this reading from the trip computer)

Car 1.6 16v 3 door Dynamic

Cheers

Kev

Re: Average Consumption MPG

over the past month i have been doing the same kind of driving as you, town driving with about 30 mins of motorway and i get 40-45MPG.

I've heard the 1.6 can be thirsty at times though.

Oh and I have a JTD.

Re: Average Consumption MPG

I wish I was getting these sort of readings, I have been off work ill for last few weeks so mainly (when cars not been with Fiat) getting 26mpg but thats been around town and short journeys.

When I was driving in and out of work I was getting 32mpg but I do sit on M25 for part that journey, mines a 1.6 also.

Hoping for better averages now cars back from Fiat...

Re: Average Consumption MPG

Motorway journeys around 37-40mpg sticking to 70mph, combined town and motorway usually around 33mpg. 1.6 Active Sport.:D

Re: Average Consumption MPG

Thanks dan the man for the link - interesting thread,

Looks like jtd's are far better on mph, although the diesel itself and tax are higher for these cars.

Kev

Re: Average Consumption MPG

Diesel might be, Tax isn't..only £115 on the Stilo JTD

Re: Average Consumption MPG

ha ha, my average is 22mpg, mostly motorway with some town driving!

have seen 9mpg when i was having some fun:slayer:

on a long mway journey, averages around 32mpg.

Re: Average Consumption MPG

well if i drive the stilo, then the mpg is a little higher than when stilosporting does - i did say a little :p

based on mainly motorway driving at certain speeds, occaisionally using cruise control he gets 39 - 43 mpg in a 1.9 jtd.

he might correct me on this though.

Re: Average Consumption MPG

I run a 1.6 and to be honest iv never checked it but i have a feeling that if i did i would get a  bit of a shock errrrr something to do with what my wife calls club foot :p think shes trying to tell me something

Re: Average Consumption MPG

Round town (commuting) 34 - 38 mpg / On a run 46 - 53.5 mpg (M-Way & A Roads) :D these figures per trip computer. Tend to find that figure for the tankfull averages (calculated manually) works out as 36-39 MG (Winter) and 44-49 MPG (Summer) Trip Computer is usually spot on (unless I have had to disconnect the battery again to get the airbag warning light off!!! :bang: ) Noticed a rise in consumption with the 16's on and seem to be struggling to get back into the mid 40's, that said I am only about 1K off the 4th year service and suspect plugs are about shot!

Dads Stilo JTD MW somewhere between 49 - 54 mpg per trip computer on a recent holiday in Germany (average for the 1175 mile trip was 50 MPG I think)

Re: Average Consumption MPG

shockingly bad in a 2.4, i get about 27.5 mpg without the aircon on, with aircon on i get about 25 mpg, sometimes it seems better, but with cruise control on doing 70 i get about 28 mpg, dropping to 60-65 I get more like 35-40.

Re: Average Consumption MPG

i would'nt say shockin it's 2.4 5 cylinder

it's better than my old bravo hgt, but i dont drive it as hard ( it mite break)

Re: Average Consumption MPG

I get around 30-35mpg thats a combination of town and motorway driving to work and from work. On a long journey i can achieve around 41/42mpg staying at around 70mph. And if i drive it like it was stolen, then i get around 26/28mpg... the worse ive seen is 22mpg lol!

Re: Average Consumption MPG

I get 17 mpg town driving. (2.4 + cda + supersprint + remap)

Re: Average Consumption MPG

AVG around 22mpg but mostly around town which is most of my travel of late, stop start stop start..... motorways its getting in the mid 30s.. depends if right foot behaves itself.

2.4 Abarth... but then I never bought it thinking of MPG, if I did I would have got a KIA Picanto, but doubt it would have been as much fun as the Stilo :)

Re: Average Consumption MPG

i get about 32mpg which is alot more than my old bravo 1.8 i used to go through a tank a week in that!

in my stilo it lasts a least a fortnight

Re: Average Consumption MPG

By the looks of it here, I'm getting the usual 28-32mpg with normal short-haul round-town stuff, longer runs getting 38mpg. The best I've seen on a single trip was 42.4mpg, that was on the 230 mile trip (mostly motorway) using the cruise control at 70-75mph. Keeping an eye on the "Ci" the 1.6 does seem to suffer a big drop-off between 70 and 85mph.
