Unhappy Want to buy OCS

Hi friends,
I finally had it enough! I wanna buy new OCS for my Stilo 2002 1.9 JTD.
Two days ago I was at the service and they pulled out OCS, "repair" burnt wires on the electronic board covered by silicon and everthing was working fine but only for 2 days. Now, I'm getting "Air bag failure" all the time although it was just occasional before repair job.
So, my question is: Does anyone knows how much it costs and where I can order it (with home delivery)? I live in Serbia. I can pay via credit card.
I called the local authorised Fiat service and they are asking 300Eur to replace it with new one. This sounds too much.
I'm willing to replace it on my own, just first have to buy new proper sensor.
Please help

The photos are showing item that I need.

Cool Re: Want to buy OCS

I dont think you will get this part from anywhere other than fiat and over here its around the £100 mark [check Decks posts for more on that] I would be concerned that if you bought it from the Uk it MAY be different to the one on your car as cars from different countries quite often have different specs only fiat could tell you that so you would have to then fit the appropriate part for your car

PM me with your chassis number and I can give you the part number to order, but it does retail as Phil says at about £100...

Re: Want to buy OCS

I found the new OCS at the local dealership store. The price is around 150 Euros and I'll get in next 12 days. I just hope I ordered right part. They told me I need Catalogue part No. 51708855. My Chasis serial is: ZFA19200000113665
Does anyone can confirm me the ordered part is OK, I can still cancel the order... in next 24 hours.
Thanks!

Re: Want to buy OCS

Re: Want to buy OCS

Before ordering one I'd recommend you dismantle your seat and have a good look at the one that's malfunctioning. I had a torrid time with airbag warning lights whenever someone sat on the seat, so decided enough was enough and had a look...

It turned out that all the sensors had actually got all cris-crossed and stuck on top of each other causeing it to error. Took it out, stuck it down flat on a piece of thin card, put it back into the seat and it has been fine ever since.

If you're going to have to rip it out anyway, you may as well check the current one can't be saved first

Re: Want to buy OCS

Cao druze,

http://www.fiatforum.com/stilo-techn...-once-all.html

Ja sam ga u Srbiji prvi instalirao i radi ko sat vec godinu dana.
http://www.cannonballforums.se/viewtopic.php?t=25511

Re: Want to buy OCS

Ups, sorry guys. I posted on Serbian!
I though I'm on our local forum.
Anyway in my post I only addressed to those 2 links, and explained that replacing OSC sensor with OSC simulator seems to be much cheaper.

Sorry once again

Re: Want to buy OCS

Talk about making things complicated (expensive), the passenger seat occupant sensor for the heated seat on my 1987 Croma Turbo is just a small button and cost about £6.

That's progress for ya.
Dave.

The Stilo one is so much more than that though. It is a classification sensor, rather than just an occupance sensor. i.e. it tells the airbag ECU if a child or adult is in the seat.

Mine is also faulty bit I dont want to give fiat £££ for a new one. ( I have heated seats so the price doubles again for mine).

I also tried this circuit, but without success.
