Hey Peeps!

Now that my CN+ is working (well, haven't installed the GPS/GSM antenna yet, or the microphone!), I was just wondering the following if you can you fast-forward through a track, for example from the start to 30 seconds in to skip the introduction?

Will keep reading the manual and searching the internet for answers.

Oh, and the fact it doesn't remember your CD position is VERY irritating! Don't worry, I know it's a characteristic, just felt like moaning :p

Yeah I read that, but it doesn't work - instead it moves onto the next MP3 folder. From what I remember it didn't work when I had my "Best of R.E.M." album in the car either.

Have seen in the CN+ manual I got with mine, that you can change the ringtone (the one in the book was A-Ha: Take On Me :D).

Anyone can do this on their CN+???

That's an amazing co-incidence, given that for almost six months I have had my mobile phone set to the ringtone of 'Aha - Take On Me' (which I added especially for the purpose).

On the test menu, there is a box called "Key Signal" option; anyone know what this means? Is it to do with security code exchange between the Body Computer and CN+?

Dont complain about functionality. My connect nav stopped working when the car was a few months out of warranty so now, a "specialist" in Scotland can't fix it (early version - cant get parts) and Fiat want stupid money for a service exchange. Just ordered my Navman GPS instead and replaced the radio with a Sony unit with front input for my trusty iPod ! :)

Hello my friends!!!

I'm new around this forum, and I discovered it thru a friend!!!

I have a Fiat Stilo MW from 2003 with Connect Navigator + installed, and when I bought the car in second hand, I never used the GPS because it gives me an error when I put the GPS CD-Rom in "CD ERROR" all the times. But the previous owner said that always worked fine with him!! I went to a Fiat dealer, but they don't know what is the problem and they don't have a spare gps cd to try on. I already upgraded my firmware to the version 9.8.

My Gps CD is ok, only a minor scratch. The Cd-Rom is from Navteq and a new one costs 160€ (Portugal and Spain), but i don't want to buy a new one, because I don't know what is the problem and that was sending money to trash! Does anyone have a CD or can help me? Does anyone had this problem?

I want to thank all of you!!!

Have you tried inserting a CD with MP3 files into the CN+, or an audio CD. Does that work okay?

I assume the CD-ROM drive must be working to some degree as you have managed to upgrade the firmware.

If the CN+ can read the audio CD / MP3 CD It might be worth making a copy of the map CD you have and trying to run the copy in the drive.

Hi, I bought used Connect Nav+ unit to replace my ugly Connect Nav. It came with jammed CD and after plugin it in I realized that the radio is not working. So I had to open it, remove the CD and plug it in again .. but still the radio is silent, the unit says AUDIO OFF and when I go to service menu I get red on all Radio related tests .. did anyone faced this issue?

I'm attaching the servis menu pic

Check the connections inside the unit.

It looks like for some reason the radio module is not talking to the mainboard, it could just be something has worked loose. Check the connections between the board mounted at the rear of the unit upside down and the motherboard itself.

There are two seperate cables with red connectors on them and a third smaller one that carries power, but I presume this is okay as the mainboard is powering up.

You can see the connectors in the attached picture.

It didn't help :-( .. could it be that the Nav unit is tight to SIM card? The unit complains about missing sim card every time I start it, but I suspect that's just because of the phone.

Can I ask where do you get a mic from or any ideas and where dose it fix to on sat nav or dose it come built in can any one help please new at this thanks kev

The micriphone fits into the front interior light and connects to pins 9 and 18 of connector D on the back of the CN+. If you look up at the interior light, you should see a group of small holes. The microphone goes behind them. Picture of the Fiat original microphone below. The electrical specifcations of it are also below so you may be able to find an equivalent one.
