(G) Schumi Stilo Paint Code

My dad picked up his new Stilo Schumacher GP (No: 28) on Saturday, but can't find a paint code for it, on his previous Stilos its been on the inside of the tailgate?

Dealer claims that due to limited production numbers no touch up paint has been made for it - dealer did get a small amount mixed up under the paint code 285 - but this turned out to be completely different red all together! - more maroon than bright ferrari red.

What an awesome car it is though, looks superb and sounds lovely - very impressed so far.

Lift the bonnet and look on the underside of it thats where my code is situated

It is on the underside of the bonnet, next to the bonnet catch. When I bought mine the dealer said that it would be no problem getting paint for it.

Halfords do it; I did some up for my bro when he had his. His colour sticker was handwritten and not printed, but still in the area by Phil and ScottyP.

Found the paint code cheers, handwritten under the bonnet - code is 285, same as the paint made up by dealer, problem is this is totally the wrong colour, checked at a paint factor and Halfords and 285 comes up as being a 1983 Fiat colour?

Can anyone confirm their paint code? or has anyone had any of this paint made up.

Make sure halfords are using the right code; FIAT codes sometimes change to 258/A for example; I think it's Italian name is Rosso Vivo, but Rosso Corsa rings a bell.

Hi Checked my car today. I have a proper printed sticker. Rosso Corsa is the colour. 285/A is the colour code printed.

however the situation is still unresolved. Got some paint mixed up from paints4u.com to colour they listed for the schumacher (285) this turned out to be totally wrong also, was more of a crimson colour,

Got in touch with Fiat customer services, and after explaining the problem several times!, they said they would open a 'case' to investigate the matter.

A week later had a call from a girl from Fiat who said "its Ferrari red" - oh really?! and said he had to phone Ferrari to get the paint, and thats clearly where she wanted the discussion to end, how helpful.

Ferrari would love that would'nt they, plus I believe there is more than one Ferrari red anyway.

Someone wanna try getting a touch up for 285/A?!

As I said, I worked at halfords and mixed it up for my bro's Schumacher and the colour match was perfect. It is listed in both the Ferrari AND Fiat pages on the Minimix computer. Ensure you give them the /A ending and colour name to make sure.

Believe me it can be done and you won't waste your money!!
