Well basically ive done dwelling on the point of selling the stilo for something else, although i luv the car! I really want some more power... i would like a 147gta but the insurance dosen't agree and basically a stilo schumacher seems to be a good stopping gap atm.

I want a LE version... How much is the suspension lowered by and dose anybody know if the bleisten coilovers on the LE can be wound down anymore from what the there set as standard as the LE dosen't look that low really!

Also i cant find a model with leather interior in the uk? Was this not an option over here, as its something i really would like to keep - im sure ive seen sum schumi's with the leather interior maybe not uk spec, doh!

hopefully going to look at one next week? But im not going to rush into anything...

Hey Rob

It's a great car, kinda wish I'd bought my bro's, especially when he put the CN+ and the Multichanger in it . . .

Have no idea about the suspension, sorry! As for leather, the Schumi's came to the UK "as is", so no options were available; unfortunately that means none of them have leather. It may have been an Abarth with the GP kit you've seen??

Good luck with it, let us know how it goes :D

Eibachs Front and rear springs.Bilsteins Front struts and rear dampin gas filled mono tube design both eibach and bilsteins stactioned for shumi.lowered 25mm front 17mm rear.front and rear are the same gap between arch and tyre.
Have u looked a the 147 2.0 lusso?
I was thinkin of gettin one before my shumi.
Pegusa Orange or blue met paint, red leather sports seats or Grey alfatex.
17"supersport alloys(without doulbt the sexy 3 holed wheels MMMMMM)
150bhp of sweet twinspark lovin,Get Autodeltas chip etc and get close to the hello 200mark.look at one second hand.Avoid selespeed!

Couldn't you buy the abarth leather trim and get it fitted to a schumi??

well, i cud transfer the cream leather interior from my stilo now into my other stilo.... & then put it into a schumi and the schumi into the other stilo! But it would be far too much work and a red car with cream leather (n) not my choice! Re-trim wud be best bet, but not worth the £££ really!

Having conflicting thoughts about the stilo schumi, just dont know what to do as its a petrol guzzler which is my only gripe

....and the 2.0 alfa 147, just isn't fast enough really! My stilo around 150hp now!

not really a diesel fan but :chin: ...*goes off to fink of something italian and diesel*

Well it doesnt matter wot u choose, generally if u want better performance it'll drink more fuel.
If u think a shumi drinks u really wont want a GTA,and its harder on tyres.

The alfa has a stiffer suspension set up and feels quite sharp but also it has a quicker steerin rack, which is just as important if not more so as the ways public roads are goin.
The alfa reacts really well to Autodeltas chip(not just BHP but also the way it delivers it) which is better than a remap.
Id at least test a good example.
Id also recomend 147 Mjet diesil rather than the older jtd.

If you want fast, italian and good econmy why don't u think about the Alfa Brera with the 200bhp diesel???? Must be a hell of a car and it's about as beautiful as it gets!!!!

I saw the schumi for the first time last Fri at LC.Motors in Newport sorry not impressed at all for that money it would be an alfa [I did like the multi wagon they had there though]

Yea i must say i wouldnt have paid £17k 4 one thats why i didnt.

:( It's a sad state of affairs but as someone else said performance will always mean more fuel. The trouble is how much that fuel costs nowadays.:(

I have just purchased a schuey stilo but was warned before hand about fuel consumption. I love the SStilo for lots of reasons. Price, i've managed to get a lady owner one with 3000 miles on the clock for under 10g private. What other 55plate 2.4 20v vehicle with warranty compares. Not a bloody fiesta ST i know, don't even say civic TyprR as the engine is all it has going for it (of which i do adore). Stilo has better cabin. I have had cars with coilovers before, but you will always compromise ride quality. The SStilo is the perfect in between of comfort and handling, each to there own otherwise.

Sometimes a car thats like a wolf in sheeps clothing is more fun. The sound of the engine and exhaust do it for me. :yum:

as it is i think the schuey is a standard manual abarth with special red paint and bodykit, oh and the claw alloys.

Its the GP kit that adds bilstein dampers (not coilovers) and eibach springs although these arent the proline kit and drop the car around 10-15 mm over a normal abarth. The GP kit also adds a supersprint backbox and 18inch OZ alloys...

i would go for one, the Alfa will be even heavier on fuel and servicing costs and theres only 200 about so definitely quite rare!(y)

YEP... just a great car!!

 when i said i had coilovers i mean't on previous vehicles i have owned. Didn't explain properly. My point was just to say i'm glad Fiat did not compromise ride quality to much, but still improvement from standard.
