Alloys on 1.6 Dynamic 2002

I am in the process of buying a 2002(52) 5dr 1.6 16V Stilo Dynamic. The garage is saying that the alloy wheels on the car weren't standard and aren't included in the deal. However I can find no info as to what the standard spec is. I don't want to find I end up with a non-standard spec.

Thnaks

Hi

The 1.6 Dynamic has 16inch alloys on as standard, don't let them tell you any different.

I have the specification booklet to prove it, just tell them you've checked and it's in there.

Cheers
TC.

Thats great, your sure thats on the 5dr not just the 3dr I know they are standard on the 3dr.
I will give the garage a ring tommorow. If they play up could you post an image of the spec page.

Cheers

Depends when your 2002 Stilo was built rtather than registered. We have a 2002 (52) 5 door Dynamic 1.6 that came with no alloys. There were others on the forecourt at the same time of the same spec. The trouble seems to be that the specs change on a whim. I read somewhere else that alloys only came in whn the Multiwagon was released... whenever that was. By all means try it on with the dealer and say you want to car as seen, but he might win any argument on the spec. Good luck (I wish I had alloys - unless the OW is driving of course!)

Thanks for the reply. Does seem a really troublesome number this specification lark. I have to admit that the alloy wheels aren't a must as myself and partner will both be driving and I don't want them ruined. But on the other hand don't want to get ripped of.

I will continue my researh.

As I know, equipment on cars is different from one market to another. But since u live in the UK that Stilo should have to be equipped with alloys, anthough here they cost extra.

I've had a 2002 (02) 1.6 Dynamic from new. When I bought mine in March 2002 the 5dr Dynamic didn't come with alloys but the 3dr did. The alloys were added to the 5dr at a later date but I'm not too sure when. Hope this helps.

Are you suggesting that they'd only get ruined because your partner would curb them?

When I got mine I told Sarah, curb them and you're off the insurance, six months later there still isn't a mark on them, she's a good girl that woman.

Just remember to be hard with them in the first place, then they'll be fine!

Simple. Just tell them you won't buy the Stilo if the alloys don't come with it.
If they disagree, buy your Stilo from a friendlier place.

If I recall when I bought the car in Nov 2002, the 3 Dr had alloys while the 5 Dr came with the comfort pack (reversing sensor, auto wipers etc)

one more example ... the 3dr version does not have 8 speakers system while the 5dr has it (if ordered).

Yeah, has 6 plus subwoofer, but I think someone said the front pair is dual cone, which would kinda make it 8-speaker.. lol

My two pairs of 3-way speakers arrived today. With them my Fiat will have.. umm.. 14-speaker system, plus subwoofer ;)

I was having a brouse around the press articles on hte Fiat site. There was an article on the revisions to Fiat specifications and kit dated February 2003. The in relation to the Stilo (among other things) quote was:

"All Dynamic specification versions have been made more attractive in terms of customer value, and 5-door versions benefit from the addition of 16" alloy wheels, as fitted to the 3-door"

Hope this answers it.

Cheers

Proc where did you put all of them. U have 3dr or 5dr Stilo? Dont tell me that you have ruined the rear table (the thing that separates the boot along with the rear seats).

Anyway, did you put Active sub + amp? U change the whole radio or not?
