Might be worth putting it in the guide section under Pollen Filter Replacement or something? You know what searching for threads is like! (y)

hi yes it was pollen filter i took car to local fiat dealer and asked for there advice they asked if it had A/C i said no there reply was if it has not got A/C it will not have pollen filter fitted so much for main dealer advice pollen filter is fitted just to left of clutch pedal behind flap between blower motor and heater matrix

Nice one folks (y) Will get me a pollen filter and change it myself... my car does have aircon, just hope that the gas is all still in there! Do tend to run aircon most weekends for about 15-20 mins to help keep in shape.

As a aside, Serena had aircon, should have had a pollen filter but wasnt fitted with one! Nissan quoted me £54 for an aircon service and I booked Serena in for it. As I sit there waiting, as I was told it should only take 30-40 mins, an hour had passed and the service manager approached me and said - your serena has twin aircon, is it an import? Reply - No its a UK spec model, why? A - We have never had a Serena in with twin aircon and should have charged you more because its double the work... but will honour our quote :)

I miss my self propelled double bedroom/lounge  I dont miss 24-32 mpg though :D

Just picked up on this post as suffering from chilly feet in the car at the moment (worst possible time:rolleyes: ) and suspected it might be something to do with the controls - I'll have a squint at the pollen filter when the snow goes, not having a garage at home can be a hassle :(

Anyone know if any damage could be done to the system if I leave the pollen filter off?

may sound silly but pollen would get in.lol:D

I've just noticed my 2.4 Abarth is doing the same... hot air comes out the passenger side and cold air through the drivers side... REGARDLESS of the Climate Control settings!!!! Anyone know why? I've also noticed a lack of power in the air blowing out of the vents and after reading previous threads realise this could be due to the pollen filter. Does anyone think the two are related?

I've also got a issue with air flow pressure, everything works as it should, I've just put In a new pollen filter, but the airflow is more or less non exsistanant!! What could the problem be, it almost seems the vents are all blocked up

Well that was pretty painless, cheers Keith
Here's the two plastic spring clips and the location of the Philips securing screw is underneath.

The cover then pushes off towards the front of the car

The filter is quite large, here it is just being pulled out. You need to rotate it vertical when it's half way out to get the clearance from the steering column.
Make a note how you did it so you can refit the same way

And here it is, filter absolutely plastered along with last autumn's entire leaf collection, a few odd shoes in the top corner (you know the odd ones you see on the road and wondered just where the other shoe gets to) and in the bottom right there is a dead motorcyclist I believe but I'm keeping quiet about that.

Don't think it had been touched in the life of the car. Quite a difference now in the heater vents air flow

Can you please reupload those pictures. I have the same issue with the blower. It works fine but the pressure at which it blows air is drastically low. From looking at a different thread of removing dash board I noticed that you cant access to the blower pipes beneath the dashboard. I am still scrutinizing each post but will be useful to see some pictures attached while demonstrating.
Thanks
