On monday (17/11) i had to take my stilo in to get the airbag sensor replaced. The dealer did it and also enabled the flashing indicators for me as well. This afternoon ( 19/11) i got a phone call, from the service dept. They wanted to make sure that the car was alright and i was happy with the work that was done on it. They also enquired if there was anything else they could do to improve the customer service.
The dealer in question is Picadilly Motors in Ripon. I believe in praise where it is due and it is to this dealership. Too often dealers take your money and afterwards are not interested, but Picadilly motors looked after me and my car. Thanks...

Hi all,

I have to agree, after spending 30minutes arguing with the amazingly incompetant Fiat Customer Services department, I called through to Nick at the Ripon dealership, asking a simple question ... "What's changing on the Fiat Stilo for the new 2004 model?". The response was brought back in 5 minutes, I'm still sitting here on my 2nd coffee hugely impressed with their service and response times, if you're thinking about going for a Fiat - I wouldn't hesitiate in at least asking them first.

I've cancelled my order with JamJar, Nick will meet their price and have it delivered quicker, 3dr Abarth in Black here I come!

and I promise .. I don't work for them!
Chris

My dealership sniggered at the JamJar price, said it must be an import with an inferior warranty. I used JamJar, £3000 cheaper. Now the dealership have to look after it for me! That really bugs them.

you're right .. at the end of the day I don't care who the car comes from, just that I don't loose all that money from driving it off their forecourt.

I've bought my last two cars from Piccadilly in Ripon and have always been impressed by their service.

Theres also a very nice looking blond who works on reception which always helps!

:p

Well from what I've been told is that for 2004, Fiat have decided that the Stilo has made enough of an impression on the other market leaders, someone in the sales dept has realised that they don't need to bundle in so much kit into the Abarth .... SatNav and Cruise control are out for 2004 (Don't ask me why Cruise control is singled out - I have no idea).

Other than that the 5 door receives the same rear cluster and will be modelled from a cosmetic style more around the 3door.

That's what I've been told, Fiat Customer Services - as expected, were not aware 2003 production had stopped!!

Well if you know of a good dealer, then praise them, because they are few and far between!
