 Hi anyone started using this "alternative" fuel in thier JTD yet?
I've heard alot about it, main thing being its cheaper etc. But i'm very apprehensive about even trying it. Any thoughts???

Angeltuning.co.uk did a feature on it statingit made the car quieter more responsive etc, only down side being it ataking a second longer to start from cold, but just cant bring my self to put it in my Stilo M./wagon!!!
Thoughts / Experiences anyone????

Hi Rob. There is a multitude of information on various forums and web pages out there. People who have been running their cars on the stuff for years.

Getting hold of bio-diesel could be difficult however svo (straight vegie oil) is obviously easier to obtain.

As for worrying about putting vegie oil in your car.. Supermarked diesel probably has much worse stuff in it that you can't see.

My GF's dad has been running a test car on Tesco brand vegie oil for months now and no problems. Its quieter, quicker reving, doesn't produce evil fumes, is carbon neutral and is a tad cheaper than diesel.

He now has a JTD Bravo and a JTD Alfa 156 both of which will be running vegie oil as soon as he fits the extra filter and oil heater. Suggest running the 2 tank system. Start as usual on diesel and switch over to oil once the engine has warmed up.

Is There Anywhere You Know I Can Get These Heaters Etc, Preferably Cheaper??
Any Help Obviously Greatly Appreciated

Is this pure biodiesel? I thought the Government put the anchors on this, 'cos well it ruins their plans for taxing us out of our cars 'cos they are so polluting... When i had my TDi a few years back the 10% bio content stuff was in a few garages down south, well one i spotted near silverstone.

any further developments on this? I had a mate who completely killed his Xantia with the stuff. You need a Bosch fuel pump by all accounts... does the Stilo have one of these?

I have a local garage selling 'proper' biodiesel, so i want to give it a go.

yep, it certainly did. and to be honest, I don't think he was that fussy with what he put in it. but still, I don't want that to happen to the lovely Stilo!
