My Front fog lights are not working, as the MOT is due soon I want to sort these out. When I press the dash fog light button it illuminates but no fog lights come on! The first puzzle is does my car have them fitted and where are they? Are they located in the headlight cluster?
Thanks in advance.

Not all Stilos have the front fog lights. If the car has them, they are located in the headlamp cluster below the orange indicator lamp. Check fuse F30 (15 Amp), and relay T14 in the engine compartment fuse box.

If the car was originally built without front fog lights, it would only have the rear fog light button on the MODE switch panel.

Other possible scenarios to consider:

1). Both fog light bulbs blown.
2). Someone has fitted headlamps without fog lights when the car should have them.
3). Someone has fitted the wrong MODE switch panel.

Hey I had a 1.2 active before the mutlijet, mine didn't work but on closer inspection the connector was there and somebody had removed the fog bulbs, I bought a pair of bulbs and they worked fine.

They are a pain in the arse to get too... enjoy loosing some flesh lol.

They do look cool in low light conditions and don't dazzle like most do... I use regularly with sidelights on when I'd rather been seen but don't want to be blinding others.

Yes.. as above.. check that you have fog-lamps in the headlamp cluster and that there are bulbs fitted into the sockets (or more likely, that they work). Wire a live feed directly to the bulbs and see if they come on.

If that's all good, then the next step would be to check out the fuses and the relay (check if there is any circuit at the fuse when the switch is on by plugging something else into it).

If you still have no joy, you could have a fault on the Body Control Module .. but then you're into a world of different magic and sorcery.

I'm not sure if the fogs are wired in the same way (although I don't see why not)... but on my old beast I had issues with the high beams. The blue tell-tale would work but the lights would not. It turned out that there was a broken (PCB) fault on the Body Control Module.

The Stilo uses CANBUS (joy!) so when you flick the switch, one circuit lights up the tell-tale blue light and another lights up the lights (or rather didn't) via the BCM. The only cure is to remove the BCM and find someone with big eyes and a small soldering iron who can repair it... or (as in my case) find someone who can swap all your chips onto another BCM that does work.

You can't straight-swap the BCM for another one.. since guess where the immobiliser codes that are checked against the ECU live...

Hopefully yours will be just a corroded connector/wiring problem.. :D

Thanks for all your assistance on this, I now having working fog lights! (y)
It turned out to be both bulbs blown, I tested the fuse first, which was ok, as this was easiest, then unclipped the panel behind the fogs on the drivers side, what a pain just to get the cover off as the washer bottle and wiring loom for the cluster are in the way, I presume the wires unclip? I couldn't figure out how! Cover off now I need the fingers of an orangutan!! just to get at the bulb, all by feel as you can't see anything. It seemed my bulb hadn't been fitted properly, someone had tried and given up by the looks of it!? :D
Anyway the wire clip just fell off, managed to re-secure it, why can't they be fitted like other cars where it just unclips and swings away but stays attached? It seems a very odd place to have fog lights!? It's basically just another main beam bulb but aimed further down, usually fog lights are placed much lower down the front. Only got to try and put the covers back on!!
