When you turn the wheel the brake hose might move a little and put a bit of pressure on the brakes. If they're a bit sticky then they might be squeaking for that reason.
The pads have to be quite a loose fit in the caliper... so if yours were a tight fit, just make sure the pad guides are clean and not filled with crusty grease or dirt.
If the pads are cheaper ones, they may just be a little mis-moulded / over-painted and need encouragement from a file - shave off some paint or metal from the ears that fit into the caliper. Put some copper grease on the ears once you have filed the paint off so that they don't rust (that will make them expand slightly and seize in the caliper again).
