Technical Stilo 1.4 Radiator replacement

Got to say - from what i can see in these pictures your car seems to be remarkably unafflicted by rust, compared to mine!

Just a note on my experiences with those quick release clips. I struggled with them for about 6 hours before finally using more force to pry off the connectors than I'd thought prudent.
I could push the two stainless clips in by hand but the connector would not release. I tried a jubilee clip, and even a jubilee clip with extra little nuts positioned over the two stainless bits. But still it wouldn't budge. Then, with the jubilee clip tightened over those stainless bumps I twisted and the top connecter came free. The bottom one took prying with a big screw driver but it came off OK.

My old radiatore decided that 38 degrees Centigrade , stuck in traffic on the Le Peripherique June 2017 was the time it had had enough of life. It dumped most of its coolant and went to skulk in its underground car parking spot, out of the hot sun (smart move really).

In between visiting the Eiffel Tower and the L'Oeuvre with the Younger Mrs S. I found a Fiat dealer with an Italian speaking bloke, who could I could explain the problem to.. and he phoned the French speaking blokes in the local garages (to whom I couldn't) until they found someone who could fix my beast before the 2 days time when I was due to go home. :D

We laugh about it now... I learnt the francais for "radiateur" and "pompe à eau" (changed at the same time) and obviously also "le courroie de came" (complet avec tendeur, as you do). At the time, the bill for €1200 (yes) was slightly less amusing... but at least now I can add "I didn't have to face mortal combat with those radiator clips" to the positives (we missed the ferry home by just 4 hours, so DFDS didn't touch me too much for that).
