tha gearbox rear mount(visable with yellow sticker in your vid)seems to be moving around a lot.
1 has it got a bolt in it ?
2 pry with a bar and see if the rubber bush has fallen apart

i remember other threads about this issue try a search for rear gearbox mount.

if all seems right with that mount move onto other engine mounts there are threads about those also.

Wait I'll go and check. I will let you know.

Engine mount is solid no moving at all.

Can't access the underneath to pry the gearbox mount.

Cheers.

Yep - was going to same the same, it happened with my 1.2.
Snapped 3 manicats, on my 4th now and ever since the garage messed up removing the bolt on the stabiliser in this picture - its never been 100% since, i have a new stabiliser now with a nice shiny new bolt, only thing is they had drill the old one out and re do it all and i think there is still some play on the mount - anyhow, its not as bad as before thankgod.

engine mount is solid rock it's moving but not like on the underneath...

Un bolt the flexi on your exhaust if it has one.

Mine has a downpipe from the manifold / cat that goes to a flexi mid section.
The flexi is there to allow little flex of the exhaust, any more and it will break like mine did and once it stops taking up slack - the rest of the pressure is against the bottom of my cat on the downpipe welds and they crack! - this is on the 1.2 anyway.

When the garage unbolted the flexi flange - the engine would rock quite a bit and had to be propped back up to bolt the exhausts back together - this is how we found out it was actually the lower mount not doing its job, god knows why they didnt find this when they changed the manicat the first time round.

And... just to add...
You say you changed a few coils for the MOT... if you meant coil packs then read below!
I had a failed coil - twice, cylinder 2 and then 4.
I changed cylinder 2 as it was running like yours now... it was fine after
Then same happened again, few weeks later - changed cylinder 4 - all was fine.
Week after that i changed 1 and 3 to be on safe side, its been fine since.

It does look like its either missfiring and running lumpy or the lower mount, however - the lower mount wouldnt cause you to loose power.

Front coil spring caused was snapped!

Changed the ht lead because broken causing of miss firing!

HT Leads?

What engine do you have?
I thought all the petrol range used coils with little electrical feeds on small connectors like mine.

Some motors have them as a pack or single ones, the 1.2 are singles, id recommend getting them from ecp whilst there cheap or pay twice the price elsewhere or probably much more at the dealers.

Not a problem. Car is in the garage for changing lower/rear gear box mount hopefully it will done by Tomorrow, ignore the ht leads things. Thanks for the 2nd replied who helped us out.

The bloke asked the ht leads. So please close this thread of there is.

Cheers!

Let us know what fixed it - as im thinking its your coil packs, the mount wouldn't make the engine run rough, the car may vibrate and feel a bit juddery under inital load and dropping gears as the engine would rock.

Also - spark plugs can cause it, use the NGK ones, have heard bad things of the bosch ones in fiats.
