Sorry if this question had been made before but can any one tell me colors and possition of wires for
1. Lock and unlock ( in the door loom)
2. Opening the boot
3. Indicators
4. Do i have to use necesary diods for indicators?

Sorry for my english! Thank you all

Indeed, but many owners choose to have the aftermarket unit installed once the factory fitted one fails / looses sync with the key.

I can't imagine why anyone would buy and fit an aftermarket kit, when the remote control key can be re-synchronised with MES and the door control ECUs are readily available second hand. Only other problems would be fuses, lock motors, wiring or connectors. All of those issues would still have to be resolved even if fitting an aftermarket kit.

It's a european car with minimum options instaled! The key is not original and has no buttons, but when you turn the key all dors lock themselfes! So for a keyless central locking i will need a aftermarket module! Thank you for the reply and i will read the old post! Best regards

Check what modules the car has with MES and see if they are present but not active? you might have all the modules and just need a remote key fob to pair up with a security code and registered MES.

Central locking and door controls

Hey everyone! Problem 1, door controls for door lock/unlock mirrors and electric windows not working! Lights up and only driver side but from passanger button:))
Second problem is central locking, just got 2 sets ecu from donor car and button fob! Seen working on the donnor car but not working on my one (good fob battery)! I am doing something wrong? Need something else? Best regards

Sorry 2003, 1.9jtd multivagon

Re: Central locking and door controls

1 - Take out your door controls switch which hold the window switches and controls for mirrors. It needs cleaning , probably the printed board is corroded or water damaged, or simply change it for another unit from breakers yard

refer to this forum ,use google translate but there are images that are self - explanatory :https://www.fiat-lancia.org.rs/foru...5-fiat-stilo-ne-rade-podizači-stakala/&page=2

Alternatively, you could try cleaning the round connector between the door and the car . Take it apart, spray it with electrical contact cleaner, let it dry for a few minutes and reassemble.

2 - which control unit did you change from donor car? On Stilo you can`t just go and get second hand units and change them as most of them will need alignment using diagnostic software called MES

I've changed both of them, driver and passager one and i have the key fob for it! Key lights up but the car doesn't do anything! Worked on the original one!

Re: Central locking and door controls

About MES, can you send me a link! Hard to finde the specific one! Best regards

Re: Central locking and door controls

Regarding door controls, tried with comtact cleaner! I've taken apart everything but still nothing! No power mirrors and no power to driver window! No lock and unlock, just whwn i press the passanger button from driver side, the driver window is activated! Any suggestions?

Re: Central locking and door controls

Had the same problem...battery reset sorted it.

Re: Central locking and door controls

Check and clean the big multi pin plug between the car and the door. Sometimes just opening the connector up and putting it back together is enough. Mine used to be a bit dicky and would knock out window controls and such like.

Re: Central locking and door controls

Could be allsorts of things...

Where are you based?

Do you have MES to do some initial tests and fault reading.
