Just wondering what other peoples IAT sensors read like vs ambient temperature at cold start and when fully warmed up.

Wife car has always read higher than ambient for IAT at cold and IAT reading rises 15C-20C above ambient with a hot engine. Car runs perfectly, voltages at the sensor are normal, wiring meters out ok, sensor is clean and I've even tried a new sensor.

Looking at posts on the forum here and on multiecuscan forum it would seem it might be normal.

I am more used to cars with IAT temperature sensor being integrated with the MAF in the center of the air flow. There they read near actual ambient air temperature once the car is running.

The location of the map sensor in the stilo seems to be too near the block, too far from the manifold intake and the main air flow in the manifold, maybe in an effort to keep it clean and maybe the ecu map takes this into account.
