Hi to all, got a 2004-1.6-16v stilo if banging along at say 70 mph and I role off around 4000-5000 I get engine light flashing, if I put foot down all good no feel of loss of power or weird noises.... My friends snapp on kit states misfires on two and three logged, nothing more... Injectors, changed coils to new bosch jobies...
Little grumble sitting idling, nothing that shows on rev metre...
Should I change injectors..
MAP sensor maybe
Crank shaft sensor at a loss.. Great car other than this niggle...
Cheers in advance, any idears...

that's the prob, his snappon kit only told me miss onb 2-3.. Didn't get codes.
:-(

Thought someone may know if injectors staged and 4500-5000 being a stage.. Would go injector route...

Have searched under Fault codes list to no avail..

Re: Canni find fault codes, please help, need a list.

found nought on search, thanks for links, will go through plugs, have two new injectors, see where I get with these,,see it could be rear/post lambda... Cheers, will update as I go... pretty ambiguous codes, cheers...

P0300 ignition.failier.miss
P0302 ignition failier. 2
P0303 ignition failier. 3

Bit ambiguous, will do sparks,injectors.. See where I get..

Please do not start multiple threads for the same problem.

P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire Detected
P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected

P0300 is a general code that's triggered whenever there's a misfire in any cylinder.

P0302 and P0303 are misfires in cylinders 2 and 3. It could be caused by faulty coils, injectors, or their wiring or connectors.

Try swapping coil 2 for coil 1, and coil 3 for coil 4, then check the fault codes again to see if they've moved.

Thanks Darvin,
yup sussed the fault codes, Soz about doubling up on thread, thought I'd deleted this one..
Have already swapped out a coil when first read codes, divice stated miss on pot three, so new coil,
re read codes and gave me a readout of miss on two and three, so thought coils not the issue....

Hi all, so changed plugs, no difference
Changed coil packs, no difference
Checked compression, all good
Checked injectors, all around 1.6 ohms....
No other codes showing, where next...
Getting worse, just a rumble at idle
35000 -40000 get engine light flashing no matter what gear.
...where too now.. :worship:

Hi Daven, thought resistance test would show an issue in wire to injector and solenoid conditions....15ohms . Seems ve weird that its only at 38000-40000 that I get this miss if it's a wire prob, ..little rumble on idle though only when warm. Bit lost..:worship:

Gonna change crank and map, also got a 02 sensor to swap in and test...
Will re-earth as well..
